Founded in 1952 by five visionary women as a 42-bed hospital with a staff of 118 physicians, Children's has grown into a 338-bed pediatric medical center on a 50-acre campus. This position is accountable for managing the overall operations of a defined patient care unit during an assigned shift.

The incumbent is accountable for monitoring, evaluation, and directing patient care provided by staff, coordinating activities of the patient care unit, making staff assignments and assisting with the development and evaluation of staff members.

The incumbent will assist with the recruitment and hiring of staff, evaluating staff competency and evaluating, coaching, and counseling assigned staff in concert with the Manager/Supervisor.
