Weblogic Administrator - Contract: Digital Procedure Inc

We are looking for Weblogic Administrators for a contract requirement at one of our clients in West Chester, PA. Strong Weblogic Administration skills and UNIX skills are required. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience in Weblogic Administration and UNIX administration.

These are CONTRACT positions. CORP to CORP is also welcome.

Weblogic Administrator

This individual will be part of a systems integration and software development engineering team responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, integrating, testing, implementing, and documenting new and existing application software programs. Systems Integration requires working understanding of service provisioning vendor product(s) and how transactions interact.

Major Duties:

• Packaging, configuration, deployment and documentation of 3rd party and internally developed J2EE applications
• Configure and tune weblogic domains/applications for performance and reliability
• Develop process and procedures to create and upgrade weblogic servers/domains
• Performs analysis and tracking of provisioning application defects and works with vendors and developers on resolution
• Assist with the evaluation, customization and implementation of off-the-shelf tools as applicable
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation as Subject Matter Expert for provisioning applications
• Participates in writing and executing unit, integration, and system test procedures
• Participates in team meetings to discuss approaches to current projects
• Complies with all established procedures and policies
• Other functions that may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent work experience in interface design and implementation
• 5+ years combined experience in the support and administration of BEA Weblogic server
• 2+ years combined experience in the support and administration of Service Oriented Architectures, including BEA Aqualogic Service Bus if possible
• 3 years experience supporting high volume transaction processing systems
• 5 years experience in Unix/Linux. Some system administration background is a plus
• 3 years experience with scripting languages such as Perl, WLST, or Unix shell
• Strong working knowledge of the following technologies / products / methodologies:
  • Telephony / Voice / Call Management Switch
  • TCP/IP and networking technologies and protocols
  • Security principles (SSL, SET, etc), and use of firewalls, digital signatures, and certificates
    Oracle database SQL and PL/SQL
