Position Description:
In the role of an Associate Provider Service Specialist you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with dental practices with the long term goal of meeting our corporate mission of 'helping people lead healthier lives'. By helping our providers, we help our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong provider relationships, including ownership of, servicing to, and training for our contracted dental providers in our western region
- Interface with providers and practice managers within our dental health plan's practitioner and provider delivery system
- May be Involved in network expansion efforts
- Enhance corporate sales opportunities through expanded provider access in accordance with reimbursement and access strategies, ensuring network stability and cost savings for our customers
- Well grounded in dental health care delivery systems

Qualifications Qualifications:
- HS diploma required, Bachelors or Associates highly desirable
- 3 years of experience in medical, dental, healthcare and/or health insurance in a large corporate environment required
- 3 years of experience working with providers or members required (provider contracts and credentialing)
- 3 years of experience in a client facing sales or customer service role required
- Business document writing skills is required
- Exceptional Excel skills required (spreadsheets, pivots, charts, formulas)
- Facets and/ or Siebel experience preferred
- Ability to day travel in the region with less than 25% overnight travel
- Hands on negotiation experience is strongly preferred
- MS Office, PowerPoint, Word, Access is preferred
- Lease network and experience with outside leased vendors strongly preferred (ordering, purchasing, medical or dental not necessary)
- Must have previous experience and confidence in presenting to all levels within corporate environment
- Physician relations or relevant managed care experience strongly preferred
