Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architect will engage in a process of learning the business and our system portfolio and challenge our current architectural assumptions as appropriate. As a key accountability, will create and manage an architecture and design review process for our enterprise programs. Will ensure that business strategies are consist with enterprise strategies. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and communicating/promoting business goals and creating a sound technical direction relative to those goals
- Translating business objectives into enterprise technology architectural plans
- Partnering with business and IT stakeholders to plan and execute strategies
- Providing oversight of the simplification of the enterprise technology portfolio
- Ensuring that components are designed according to sound architectural principles and enterprise direction
- Helping to drive application architecture and design decisions
- Mentoring and coaching people
- Communicating with stakeholders on a regular basis in a concise manner
- Ensuring alignment across the architecture and delivery organizations to the enterprise architecture
- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships
- Participating in problem analysis and solution selection
- Engaging in acquisition due diligence
- Delivering on commitments
Qualifications Candidates will possess:
- 5 + years in creating and enabling enterprise technology strategies and architectures that support those strategies
- Extensive knowledge of contemporary architectural concepts and technology
- Proven ability to affect change in a large organization
- Proven ability to collaborate with the business community and propose ideas with business value
- Prior success engaging at the cLevel
- SOA architecture expertise, including demonstrated design of reusable platforms and services
- High level of emotional intelligence
- Demonstrated ability to influence others in a matrixed organizational structure
- Strong negotiation and consensus building skills
- Results-oriented individual with proven problem solving abilities
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or compensating experience
