Overview: Responsible for managing the marketing strategies and driving focused brand campaigns for MMG Men's Private Brands. Reports to the Marketing Director. Key Accountabilities: - Assist Marketing Director in the development three-dimensional marketing strategies that incorporate packaging, in-store presentation, national advertising, public relations, special events, and internal communications for MMG Men's Private Brands.
- Implement strategies by coordinating efforts and leveraging individual talents of cross-functional marketing team; lead weekly marketing team meetings in order to maintain time and action schedule.
- Serve as the authority on each brand's target customer; collaborate with Director, Media Planning & Analysis on market research projects as needed.
- Drive seasonal brand strategy, speed-to-market, merchandise review, and merchandise turn-in meetings in partnership with Product and Planning teams.
- Understand and interpret business plans for each brand; ensure that "big ideas" are fully supported by marketing strategies.
- Create seasonal marketing budget for each brand that is in line with sales plan and opportunities; adhere to plan and identify cost savings.
- Sign off all brand collateral, including in-store signage, packaging, direct mail and magazine advertising.
- Manage special projects and partnerships related to FOB.
- Collaborate with media agency to identify optimal media mix for each brand; apply results of media effectiveness analysis to inform media plans.
- Evaluate merchandising added-value proposals from media partners and determine best use of merchandising to enhance brand strategy.
- Serve as primary liaison between Marketing and Product within MMG; facilitate all project requests from product teams and ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Work with Product VPs and directors to identify growth opportunities and develop forward-thinking strategies.
- Collaborate with Macy's Inc. Marketing to negotiate co-op marketing plans and budgets for men's brands; sign off co-op claims submitted by Macy's Inc.
- Partner with Macy's Inc. special event and PR teams to conceive, produce and execute in-store events, promotions and press efforts.
Manage relationship with PR agencies, ensuring maximum exposure for brands in editorial venues and developing unique programs to attract media attention.
Skills Summary: - Bachelor's degree in a related field; MBA a plus
- 5 years experience in marketing, advertising and/or retail
- Proven track record of developing effective marketing strategies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Leadership skills, including ability to motivate a team, communicate effectively with others, and establish credibility with senior management
- Detail-oriented, flexible, diplomatic and resourceful
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with FileMaker and Lotus Notes
