We are currently searching for a Senior Benefits Analyst to complement our Human Resources team. This position will oversee the administration of employee benefits, health, welfare, and retirement and savings programs for all company operations. Responsibilities include continuously reviewing and monitoring the critical components of each plan and process to ensure accuracy and quality, compliance, timely delivery, and processing of all benefit information. The individual in this role will develop, recommend, and install new or modified plans and employee benefit policies, as well as develop cost control to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost while insuring the ability to retain and recruit employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and oversee administration of the following health and welfare benefit programs: retirement, savings, and stock programs, medical plans, dental, supplement life & accident, STD and LTD programs, accidental death policies, profit sharing, 401(k), ESPP, and SIP
  • Review and develop new programs and/or existing plans to enhance retention and reduce unwanted turnover while analyzing cost information and making recommendations to management on sharing of cost between employer and employee
  • Analyze and evaluate services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to determine programs best meeting the needs of the organization.
  • Negotiate and contract benefit plan providers, vendors, auditors, and consultants for services, premiums, and plan administration.
  • Prepare, analyze, and submits reports for internal and external use including government-mandated reports
  • Review and analyze all programs under my oversight for compliance, trends, and prevailing practices among similar organizations.
  • Oversee and assist in the preparation and communication of informational material to employees and former employees about benefit programs, procedures, changes, and government-mandated disclosures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge and abilities with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as a working understanding of functions and relationships of information in PeopleSoft/Oracle system are required
  • Must have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Effective and influential spoken, written, electronic, and presenting skills are required with employees at all levels, vendors and any other internal/external individuals.
  • Must possess extensive and excellent financial and analytical skills.
