Merchandising Account Representative PT - Memphis, TN: Sony Computer Entertainment America

We are looking for qualified candidates to maximize sales by providing thorough product education and executing merchandising objectives in an assigned retail territory. Ideal applicant will be pro-active, results driven, and work well independently while adhering to a rotational schedule. Will also incorporate the ability to train, present, and demonstrate the products in a large group setting, as well as support special events and promotions.

• Educating store personnel on the PlayStation® product line
• Placing promotional Point of Purchase (POP) materials
  
• Monitoring product inventory and sales
  
• Acting as the company's liaison to assigned retail stores
  
• Resetting product displays
  
• Maintaining the overall appearance of the PlayStation® product area
  
• Repairing interactive display kiosks
  
• Set-up products to plan-o-grams
  
• Move product from stockroom to sales floor
  

• Prior experience in retail and merchandising
• Prior public speaking experience
• Experience influencing shelf and display decisions by store management
• Experience communicating with store management and associates to build positive relationships
• Reliable daily transportation to travel within your assigned territory
• Intermediate skills and experiences with MS Office Applications, Lotus Notes and the internet
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to lift 35 lbs and climb a ladder
• At least 1 year experience in merchandising or related field
• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least 3 years experience in merchandising or related field
• Work experience in the video game industry or related field
• At least 1 year of post high school education/training or equivalent
