  • Must have Bachelors of Science degree in engineering or physical science field.

  • Must have 12 years work experience in a technical or engineering field.

  • Must have 7 years in chemical, petroleum, or nuclear industry management positions.

  • Must have demonstrated practical application of management concepts related to principles of engineering and facilities handling hazardous, radioactive, or toxic materials.

  • Must have practical application of engineering theories and concepts associated with design, construction, commissioning, and systemization testing of facilities handling, hazardous, radioactive, or toxic materials.

  • Must be a US Citizen

Job Description :

Purpose:

Assist the Engineering Manager with the management of the organizational integration of Systems Engineering, Design Engineering and Configuration Management/Document Control Center support for the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility. Assist the Life Cycle Cost Manager with the management of risk and to provide input into the determination of risk decisions.

Job Duties

  • Recruit, hire, and develop qualified engineering staff to execute the ANCDF project programs.
  • Design Agent and Engineer of Record for facility/system modifications
  • Provide engineering support to campaign changeovers, including outage planning, changeover systemization procedures, and field engineering expertise.
  • Provide configuration management support to the ANCDF project, including an integrated database of plant records, technical information, and baseline description.
  • Establish a comprehensive performance-based training program for all engineering personnel to ensure they receive appropriate initial and periodic training.
  • Enforce strict adherence to the Washington Group Principles of Disciplined Conduct of Operations, environmental regulations, and DOD regulations to engineering tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a set of engineering standards and procedures for conduct of design engineering
  • Coordinate the design and implementation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in support of facility operation, and closure. This will include facilitating the use of corporate engineering design functions.
  • Assists the LCCM in the management of risk to provide input into the determination of risk decisions, i.e. risk avoidance, transfer, mitigation or acceptance with a contingency.
  • Supports corporate Life Cycle Cost Manager by ensuring all agreed engineering milestones are met and in compliance with agreed upon contract schedule.
  • Provide technical input and management assistance to the development of the Limited Conditions for Operations (LCOs).
  • Assist Project Management in the Public and Educational Outreach programs by participating in public and school forums to advance public awareness of the ANCDF Project
