BS degree in Engineering with a Chemical Engineering degree highly preferred. Must have at least 4 years and really would like 5-8 years. MUST HAVE chemical plant experience - day-to-day process troubleshooting, process upgrades, optimization, process safety and PHA experience. MUST be able to handle process projects from initiation through completion. Looking for leadership "bench strength" from this person so must be able to move into production management roles in the future. >>>> KEY: client also wants some supervisory or people leadership experience to be considered <<<<<
Job Duties Will be responsible for a variety of tasks in this small (50 person), highly automated, non-union, chemical processing facility. This will include process engineering, day-to-day production engineering (and supervision as needed), and handling process projects. Will "be involved" with operators and seek input for process improvements, process safety (PSM), and equipment reliability issues. Position will be involved in costs savings projects, quality improvements, yield enhancements and assuring Environmental compliance. This individual will be able to make a very quick impact as there is a lot of "low hanging fruit" that this person can get done quickly.
