Temporary Contracts Administration and Procurement Paralegal / Specialist Description:- Negotiate, manage and administer commercial contracts in accordance with policies and procedures, federal, state and local laws and regulations and best business practices.- Review, identify, negotiate and mitigate legal, financial and liability risks within a broad range of supplier agreements including: professional services, non-disclosure, event, information technology, facilities services, and revenue.- Draft new agreements and contract amendments based on entity templates. As needed, coordinate with Risk Management, Legal Counsel, and other departments to negotiate contract terms and conditions.- Prepare required contract documentation. Meet with departments to identify needs; translate needs into specifications and statements of work that accurately describe the need.- Draft Requests for Information, Quotations and Proposals in order to identify qualified suppliers and solicit realistic and responsive offers that will meet the defined need.- Analyze proposals, quotes, and offers to determine which is the most advantageous to the entity - price and all other factors considered.Requirements:- Three to five year’s+ of relevant progressive experience in the field of commercial contract negotiation and management preferably within the corporate department of a law firm.- Knowledgeable with standard legal and insurance concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledgeable with the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), legal terminology of purchase, service and consulting contracts, insurance requirements, and indemnification clause translation.- Strong process management, organizational and effective time management skills.- Excellent oral and written communication.- Excellent analytical, organizational and follow up skills.- Candidate MUST have both solicitation/procurement and contract administration skills.- Possible temporary-to-permanent hire opportunity
