Quantitative Analyst: Zynga

Zynga seeks a skilled, positive, and energetic Quantitative Analyst to join their team! The successful candidate will use their quantitative analytic, data manipulation, and query-writing skills along with their business acumen to provide our studios with the data and insights they need to drive our continued success. This position interacts directly with key decision makers, providing the opportunity to have real impact on the business. It is important that the candidate enjoy working with people, as well as performing technical analyses.

Responsibilities:

· Supports studio analytic needs working on data drawn from diverse sources to solve problems, generate insights, and inform decisions

· Performs detailed analyses on data to validate observations and separate genuine phenomenon from spurious anomalies

· Creates reports to increase game Product Managers’ visibility and monitoring capabilities

Required Skills:

· B.S. or B.A., preferably in a statistical, mathematical, or technical field required; advanced degrees a plus

· Several years of quantitative analytic work experience including manipulation and analysis of large data sets

· Skilled SQL query writer with working knowledge of database structures

· Advanced Excel user

· Ability to program in R or other statistical languages helpful

· Ability to execute research projects, and translate the results into operational or analytical solutions to problems

· Good client management skills with strong grasp of business principals

· Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel while managing and meeting changing deadlines and priorities

· Experience handling, manipulating and analyzing data

· Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to document work and effectively prioritize documentation.

· Ability to balance technical and business perspectives

· Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and attention to detail

· Ability to work in an individual and/or team setting

· Good working knowledge of basic statistics
