As the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed especially for pediatric patients, we are well equipped to care for all children, from the tiniest premature infant to the high school student with a sports injury. Our 118-bed facility includes a PICU, NICU, Convalescent Newborn Unit and in-patient Pediatric Rehab unit. Our primary populations are respiratory, trauma, oncology, hematology, and gastroenterology. The culture is driven by Patient and Family-Center Care philosophy, quality and safety initiatives, and staff empowerment; won the Jackson Service Organization's national patient satisfaction ward for our 5 star pediatric service in 2005! In addition, we provide specialty educational programming such Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Pediatric End of Life Nursing Education Curriculum (Peds ELNEC).

In 2011, we will begin construction on a 2.5 tower addition containing a Day Medical unit, a immunocompromised ICU-capable unit, a Convalescent Newborn Unit expanding to 21 beds, radiology space, Ronald McDonald House retreat space, improved Family Resource Center, a Theater, a Gift Shop, cafe space, outside play/therapy yard, a Maternal Expressions boutique, and new lobby and patient registration/testing space.

Due to the recent promotion of the current Manager to an Administrator position, we are seeking a Pediatric Manager to join our growing team.
