Responsibility:

The Advisory Services Associate is responsible for coordination, oversight, and execution of administrative issues related to the funding of and oversight of investment programs of client institutions and family groups. This includes coordinating and facilitating communication between clients, consultants and staff, external investment managers, bank custodians, attorneys, and other relevant parties.

Principal Duties:

  • Act as primary or secondary Advisory Services Group (ASG) contact for ASG clients, investment managers, and internal staff. Collect, interpret, and organize information relating to all aspects of client portfolios.
  • Maintain awareness of current investment themes and client interests.
  • Proactively support client objectives through communication with third-party service providers. Review documentation and maintain correspondence.
  • Coordinate asset transfer between clients, custodians, and investment managers and maintain account records.
  • Complete documentation, monitor cash flows, track share class, and verify receipt of wires and documents for those clients with hedge funds. Reconcile manager statements with custodian bank.
  • Monitor/track capital call and distributions for clients with non-marketable alternative asset programs.
  • Utilize manager/custodian websites to monitor and analyze client portfolios.
  • Be prepared to generate ad hoc reports.
  • Utilize internal CA resources to support client activities.
  • Provide administrative support to client teams.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of related experience (including back office and mutual fund accounting and/or performance measurement work).
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Strong computer skills. MS Excel and Word required.
  • A team-orientated individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under time pressure the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness of information.
