Responsible for coordinating Health Information Management for Intermountain Medical Center by providing leadership and strategic direction for the department, management and development of the staff, setting and monitoring standards for data quality and ethical practice, and providing excellent service to HIM customers, medical staff, employees and patients.
Employee exhibits behaviors consistent with the Intermountain Healthcare Mission, Vision, Values and the Intermountain Healthcare Urban Central Region Service Quality Standards (outlined in Urban Central Region Mandatory Education Booklet). Must be a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or a Registered health Information Technician (RHIT) with a bachelor`s degree. Must have three years supervisory experience in medical record administration. Requires knowledge of medical record systems, quality management, computer applications, medical-legal principles and laws, coding and reimbursement process, human resource management, and medical staff organization.
