Position: JAVA Developer
Client: New York State Department of Health (DOH)
Location: Albany, NY
Duration: 18 months with optional renewals
Work Environment: Business Casual dress code
Employment: Full Time Salaried, Independent Consultant, Subcontractor

Project Overview:

The selected consultant will assist the Department of Health in converting a Cold Fusion MX7 application to J2EE. The conversion process will also involve enhancements to the application.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years developing web applications in a J2EE application server environment
  • 4+ years writing Java Applications using a framework based on the Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture
  • 2+ years Oracle 9i or above
  • 2+ years IBM Rational ClearCase v6.0 or higher
  • 2+ years Eclipse or Eclipse-based IDE (integrated development environment).
  • 1+ years programming experience with Cold Fusion MX 6.0 or higher
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Converting an application from Cold Fusion to J2EE
  • Writing JSPs (JavaServer Pages)
  • Using a Struts 2 framework
  • OOD (Object Oriented Design) concepts and UML (Unified Modeling Language)
  • Designing HTML web pages layouts
  • Writing PL/SQL stored procedures with Oracle 9i or above
