Description

The Patient Care Technician is responsible for providing personal care of selected patients as delegated by the RN. Care will include assisting patients with activities of daily living and providing comfort measures and nourishment. Will perform selected therapies and advanced technical nursing skills for assigned patients. Will meet needs and expectations of significant others. CARE INITIATION UNIT. (36 hrs./week; 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - every other weeknd.

Requirements

High School Graduate or equivalent, CPR certification, and proof of completion of a Personal Care Technician program. In addition, must have one of the following: GA certification as a CNA; 3 years experience in direct patient care as an unlicensed assistant; GA certification as a Paramedic; completion of a Critical Care Technician program; completion of a Surgical Technician program; or graduate of an approved EMT program.
