Patient Account Representative




Our client in the East Bay is one of the nation's leading not-for-profit networks of community-based health care providers, delivering high-quality care in more than 100 Northern California communities.

They have a need for a Long Term Contract Patient Account Representative

Responsible for:

  • Collection of Accounts Receivable as related to all Non Government Payers, i.e., HMO, PPO, Work Comp, and Group Insurance
  • Responsible for analysis of accounts from when the billing is sent to the payer, to when payer payment is posted
  • Ability to review a contract and quote back to payer as related to disputes during collection of account

These candidates should have:

  • One to two years experience with HMO and/or PPO contract language relating to reimbursements
  • Knowledge of third-party payers

Ability to review the contracts related to the individual payers to collections and or appeals to designated payer.
