Responsible for the safe and efficient operations and maintenance of plant activities at the combustion turbine power plant.

(The following duties are for a JL Combustion Turbine Technician. Duties for Technician I- IV are similar but less in overall scope, responsibility, and accountability.)

· Six (6) years of power plant experience which may consist of an equivalent combination of related education and/or power plant experience.

· Must have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.

· Possession of current valid driver’s license.

· Maintain CPR certification, spill/waste handling training requirements and the ability to perform CPR and apply spill/waste training, respirator training and testing, and obtain opacity certification twice per year.

· Willingness to work extra or irregular hours, shift work, weekends, holidays, call out and overnight travel as required.

· Willingness to work with high voltages; obtain switching certification; and perform high voltage switching.

· Willingness to be on call 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.

· Must reside within 20 miles of the base location.
