Network Engineer III

We are currently seeking a Network Engineer III for our corporate office in Clearwater, Fl.

Hours:

8:00 – 5:00 Monday – Friday

Job Duties:

· Performs advanced trouble-shooting for network hardware and software problems

· Manages, oversees and coordinates all corporate server systems, applications and operating systems

· Reviews communications, monitors performance of the systems and reports status. Identifies deviations from agreed service level agreements (SLA/SLO) and recommends corrective action

· Audits and maintains security levels consistent with the company’s security policies. This may include developing and implementing policies, performing intrusion testing, identifying and correcting security vulnerabilities, implementing security related software and managing patch levels

· Participates on IT teams to evaluate system hardware and software requirements. Performs analysis of needs and contributes to the design of computing architecture, integration, and installation

· Responsible for the devlopment, delivery, deployment of software, utilities and packaged programs

· Serves as a technical expert in a specific discipline which includes Active Directory 2000/2003, Microsoft Exchange, Notes and Mail related services. Acts as an interface between information system groups and provides technical coordination with the communication providers relative to upgrades, testing, and new implementations

· Plans, creates and monitors system backups of the nework servers

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or CNE (Certified Network Engineer) or the equivalent combination of education and experience; certification preferred.

· Four or more years related experience

· Two years or more experience in telephony.

· Good working understanding of the information technology environment.

· MCSE Certification Required.

· Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.

· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

· Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.

· Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

· Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

· Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, etc.) in its most difficult phases.

· Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
