Responsibilities
The incumbent in this position is responsible for planning, organizing and managing tactical and strategic information services to help clients enhance their delivery of services by facilitating the processing and delivery of information. The incumbent will coordinate and manage the activities and performance of staff members within a team, or teams, focused on the implementation and support of information technology enabling solutions and services.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of eight years experience within the Healthcare Information Services industry
- Minimum of three years managerial experience including the management of personnel, budget and contracts, vendors, and day-to-day department operations.
- Minimum of three years of project and portfolio management with an emphasis on experience with multi-disciplinary, complex projects, system and teams.
- Knowledgeable in the IS acquisition, installation, support and maintenance of Clinical Information Systems.
- Working knowledge of Client Server technologies such as, but not limited to, Windows 98, NT and 2000 server and Novell NetWare; and relational databases such as, but not limited to, Oracle, Sybase and SQL Server.
- Knowledgeable in clinical operations for clinical and anatomic pathology services.
- Knowledgeable of healthcare compliance requirements e.g., HIPAA, JCAHO, Government
- Consulting background a plus
