Director of Sub Acute

To plan, organize, coordinate, implement,evaluate, and direct programs and services for patients with subacute needs for the Rehabilitation Unit of designated ArchCare facility. The Sub Acute Administrator, in working with and with the guidance of the facility Executive Director, Administrator, and Director of Nursing oversees all operational functions of Sub Acute Rehabilitation and Transitional Care Unit.

• Manage the subactue programs and oversees the Medicare Part A and Medicare Managed Care utilization review weekly meetings and Medicare Part A/Managed Care Discharge meetings. Works with the Director of Social Services, Case Manager, and DNS on this process.
• Responsible for controlling and maintaining Medicare Part A cost associated.
• Ensure qulity, quantity of, and effective goal-oriented programs that meet market potential.
• Prepare yearly program goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement strategies to provide relevant, cost-effective services.
• Develop, implement, and review annual budget to ensure profit objectives.
• Provide management reports that document effectiveness and efficiency of operation, such as productivity and billing reports.

• BS in a health related field with an additional maters in business or management preferred.
• Experience with Sub Acute or Acute Care Rehabilitation and skilled nursing services preferred.
• Marketing experience preferred.
• At least two years of management and three to five years direct clinical experience or three to five years of hosiptal or nursing home management .
• Strong managerial and communication skills.
