System Implementation Engineer

Horizon Software International, LLC (Horizon) is seeking highly motivated, goal-oriented applicants in the Los Angeles area for the position of System Implementation Engineer. The Engineer is a critical role in the successful planning and deployment of Horizon’s proprietary software solutions in our client environments. The Engineer is responsible for developing the overall field deployment process, field deployment plans, and deploying the proprietary software solution.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas:

· Proprietary Software Package Deployment Planning in large scale deployment projects

· Deployment Site Survey Analysis and Reporting in large scale deployment projects

· Team Leadership Capabilities in large scale deployment projects

This role will work with Los Angeles based and West Coast clients to design, develop, test and deploy the Horizon Proprietary Packaged Software.

Education Requirements:

* Four year IT degree (MIS, Computer Science, IST, Systems Engineering) plus 2 years of successful industry experience or

* 6 years of successful industry experience

Business Skills Required:

Technical Knowledge/Experience Required:

* Must possess a positive attitude

* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

* Strong interpersonal skills

* Ability to quickly identify and solve problems

* Career-minded with a strong work ethic

* Must be self-sufficient yet work well as part of a team

* Must be able to obtain a security clearance

* Windows 2000 / XP / Server 2000 & 2003

* Intermediate Networking

* Intermediate Database skills (SQL, SQL+)

* Basic Database Administration

* Write and execute advanced queries

* MS Office (w/ emphasis on Access & Excel)

Additional knowledge of or experience with the following would be a plus:

* Food Service Industry IT

* Previous Customer Training skills

* Programming skills (Visual Basic .NET, Crystal Reports, MS Access, and XML)

* Project Management experience, familiarity with MS Project
