Job Description:

This person supports the development of new high performance products by designing embedded microprocessor circuits, writing embedded microprocessor firmware, performing software verification, and validation tests.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with minimal supervision
• Other duties as required by management
• Understand, support, and contribute to company TQM and Quality / Environmental Management Systems by following approved policies and procedures

A B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. A minimum of 3-5 years of job experience is required. Candidates must have experience with embedded digital circuit design, firmware in -C- and assembly. Experience with automated production testing is a plus.The skills, experience, and education required for this position include the following:

• Embedded digital circuit design to include concept, specification review, development schedule planning, design, firmware development, test, implementation, and long term sustaining support
• Extensive firmware knowledge of embedded -C-, and assembly
• Experience with a variety of in-circuit development systems supporting MSP430, 8051, HC08, Atmel, and PIC microcontrollers
• Automated test stand design and development is a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English which demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to customers, vendors, and company cross-functional teams. The company cross-functional teams consist of mechanical, electrical, test, quality, purchasing, manufacturing, and marketing staff members
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point experience is required
