| Job Details: Provides patient care as part of a multi-disciplinary team based on national standards, and utilizing the nursing process. Appropriately and within the Nurse Practice Act and other regulating bodies delegates to and directs the care provided to the patient by the LPN, PCA and HUC. Participates in process improvement, professional education and committees and meetings to maintain competence and advance the mission and values of Boca Raton Community Hospital. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: •Demonstrated proficiency in drawing blood samples. •Demonstrated proficiency at Port-a-Cath access. •Demonstrated knowledge of procedures performed at the Center for Breast Cancer and ability to be able to explain them. •Demonstrated proficiency at organizing and collecting data pertinent to procedure results and presenting statistical findings to physicians. •Demonstrated proficiency at organizing and leading support groups for breast cancer patients. •Demonstrated proficiency at counseling of patients who have been recommended to have a breast bioply and referrin patient to physician for appropriate treatment. •Demonstrated knowledge of medical assistant duties as well as proficiency at directing and supervising the medical assistant.
