POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Current license as a Registered Nurse in Nevada, current American Heart CPR certification from the American Heart Assoc. (BLS), and current ACLS (Am. Heart) certification required. At the minimum, an Associates Degree in Nursing required as well as a minimum of one (1) to two (2) years previous ICU/CCU experience.

Maintains authority and accountability for decision making relative to the nursing care of patients. Responsible for providing patient care based on the nursing process using assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for applying hospital and nursing services policies in rendering physical and supportive care and in providing health teaching to patients and families. Interacts with staff, physicians, and other departments to ensure that customer needs are met. Responsible for professional development in self and contribution to the professional growth of others.
