Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research in Cambridge, MA is looking for talented medicinal chemists to provide medicinal chemistry support for drug discovery programs operated by one of our Disease areas. The successful candidate will perform organic synthesis experiments and purification procedures, using standard organic chemistry laboratory techniques or new methods from the literature to obtain pure characterized compounds for biological evaluation. State of the art software tools and high throughput synthesis robotics are utilized where appropriate.
Multiple positions exist at all levels for candidates with the following minimum qualifications. B.S. in Chemistry or M.S. degree with at least 1 year experience in the synthesis and characterization of organic compounds. Experience with common spectroscopy (NMR, IR, UV, MS) and analytical techniques required. Experience with chromatography purification systems required.
