Job Description:
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment for general aviation aircraft. Work may involve any of the following: setting up and operating fabricating machines to cut, bend, and straighten sheet metal; shaping metal over anvils, blocks, or forms using hammer operating soldering and welding equipment to join sheet metal parts inspecting, assembling, and smoothing seams and joints of burred surfaces. 1. Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to blueprints, and written and verbal instructions. 2. Lay out of sheet metal parts using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions. 3. Alter and existing part using blueprints, drawings, written or verbal instructions. 4. Rivet and sheet metal component removal. 5. Bend and form a radius on fabricated sheet metal parts. 6. Drill various metals. 7. Debur holes and cut lines. 8. Set up for and countersinking holes. 9. Set up for and dimpling holes. 10. Set up for and install solid rivets with a rivet gun. 11. Set up for and install solid rivets with a squeeze tool. 12. Install blind rivets and fasteners.

Job Requirements:
1. Knowledge of aircraft structure repair manuals. 2. Knowledge of FAA AC 43.13-1B. 3. Skilled in identifying types of corrosions. 4. Skilled in corrosion removal procedures. 5. Skilled in the application and removal of wash etch and alodine material.. 6. Skilled in the application of primer. 7. Ability to identify rivets, bolts, screws, and nuts and washers.
