Nurse Manager – Med/Surg

Centennial Medical Center at Ashland City is currently seeking a Nurse Manager for the Med/Surg floor – a Manager with a passion for delivering quality health care and making a difference to our patients.

Responsibilities Include:

Providing leadership to an assigned nursing unit(s) with responsibility for planning, directing and evaluating the patient care and services provided.

Managing personnel in the accomplishment of designated goals and the provision of nursing care and services.

Managing the provision of adequate and competent staffing.

Evaluating effectiveness of care in producing desired patient outcomes.

Addressing any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes.

Ensuring that age and culturally appropriate care is given.

Ensuring departmental compliance with regulatory and JCAHO requirements.

Monitoring and adhering to annual hospital operating budget.

Implementing cost-effective strategies in staffing and supply management decisions.

Assisting staff in providing patient care and services as needed.

Following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Required Job Qualifications include:

Current licensure as an RN

Current certification as a BLS Healthcare Provider

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Minimum of 3 years in a leadership position.

Minimum of 5 years within an acute care hospital setting

Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, strong communication skills and leadership abilities.

As a key part of Centennial, CMC Ashland City has recently been designated as a Critical Access Hospital to serve those in the surrounding area with inpatient hospital care as well as emergency services 24/7.
