LEAD SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER – H.A.R.T. PROGRAM
Northrop Grumman is staffing a team of interactive software engineers who will place unprecedented capabilities in the hands of our troops. Using wireless technology linked into existing tactical networks, the Heterogeneous Airborne Reconnaissance Team (H.A.R.T) system will enable real-time, platoon level tasking of unmanned systems for mission optimized imagery and threat data in the dense and chaotic urban environment.
On the H.A.R.T. team you would lead integration and test of software developed by HART team members including internal developers and suppliers. Areas of integration include: planning and sensor management, task and request management and product management. You will be responsible for: coordinating software-in-the-loop testing activities; developing test scenarios; writing XML-based test scripts; generating integration test reports; and ensuring that individual components of the system are adequately tested before field tests. Plus you will be expected to be able to function as a backup for the software IPT lead as well as ensure that the tailored software engineering development and integration processes are implemented. A Secret Clearance will be requested for the person in this position.
Basic Qualifications: A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field with a minimum of 14 years experience directly related to this position. The candidate must have the ability to write clear, concise documentation, configuration instructions and test procedures/scripts. Ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment is essential. Candidate must have a working knowledge of portable open source Linux-based development processes, languages, and tools including C#, Java, Mono/.NET, and Windows/Cygwin. The candidate must have hands-on experience with SOAP, XML, and SOA.
