We are recruiting for a Marketing Manager, Europe to join our dynamic, smart and fast moving team. In this position, you will drive the marketing strategy, development, and execution of all outbound programs.

Keynote’s services enable corporate enterprises to monitor, benchmark, test, diagnose, and optimize their Web sites and applications from both inside and outside the firewall. Approximately 2,800 corporate IT departments rely on the company's easy-to-use and cost-effective services to increase revenues and reduce downtime costs, without requiring additional complex and costly software implementations.

Our products and services are used by some of the largest Internet and mobile portals and network operators in the world. Keynote helps over 2,800 corporate customers become “the best of the best” including American Express, Disney, eBay, E*TRADE, Expedia, Microsoft, SonyEricsson, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Vodafone and YouTube. We go to market through a software-as-a-service subscriptions model (SAAS) that allows our customers to measure and monitor Web, streaming and VoIP applications without having to maintain hardware or software.

The primary focus of this position is to build upon Keynote’s European presence through building lead generation and brand awareness programs. You will work closely with marketing and sales colleagues to develop customer acquisition & retention programs.

  • Independently minded, entrepreneurial marketer who innately understands how to get attention and recognition for technology products.
  • Knack for translating complex technologies into easily understandable messages. Excellent writing skills are a must.
  • Ability to develop clear, compelling presentations on why customers need Keynote.
  • Master sales force trainer – be an evangelist and help your sales force become one too.
  • Ability to manage agencies to accomplish your tasks (i.e. collateral design, events marketing, Web development).
  • Exceptional ability to communicate recommendations and influence change based on market and customer research findings and ability to work comfortably and effectively with senior level executives both internally and externally.
  • Proficiency in marketing components (eg., frequency, reach, placement) and techniques (SEM, SEO, PR).
  • Strong understanding of Internet business models, Web technologies, networking and interactive businesses.
  • At-ease working with Sales colleagues.
  • Outstanding team-orientation, in other words, you like working with people and thrive on the collective energy.
  • Fluency in English and one other European language, preferably German or French.
  • Work Authorization in Europe
  • BA/MBA
Experience Required
  • Ideal candidate will have experience and interest (can we hope for passion?) in online business trends and developments and an understanding for issues faced by online companies.
  • Candidate will have experience in B2B marketing either in Europe or for Europe for a US company.
  • 10+ years of progressive marketing management experience.
  • Proven track record for developing & localizing outbound marketing campaigns including creative and copy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and/or localizing sales tools (collateral, intranets, presentations, customer demos).
  • Experience in managing European resources (PR, SEM and direct marketing agencies is a must) and developing & managing marketing budgets.
  • Hands-on experience with building brand new customer acquisition marketing programs.
  • Understanding of and experience in viral marketing techniques. Demonstrated ability to maximize budgets through “guerilla marketing” techniques would be ideal.
