| Position Description |
|
Reporting to the CMO ,the Vice President of Global Marketing will be challenged with defining the business breakthrough to allow Cadence to change the landscape of the EDA industry in support of Senior Management’s vision for the company. The executive will devise programs to create brand awareness and brand equity of the company. Therefore, there is a strong need to bring “proactive creativity” to the organization. Given this, we are looking for that unique person who understands the business, its goals and drives the marketing communication programs from that spin.

The position demands an individual that excels at building relationships, motivating teams, managing budgets and delivering materials on time every time. Strategic planning, multi-tasking, process development/improvement skills and the ability to influence others is necessary.
The executive will have a professional background that will bring unquestionable credibility to the Cadence brand. The successful candidate will have a strong ability and direct experience in understanding and managing all components of the marcom function, ideally in the technology sector. Specifically, this person will have had experience broadening an organization’s brand outside of The Americas. The Vice President, Global Marketing must be agile in their thinking, seemingly unfettered by conventional wisdom, and bring a great deal of intense energy and confidence to the table--confidence in his/her own ability to shape and influence the future of the industry.
The candidate must be an effective communicator and spokesperson for the company and its products, both in internal and external communication roles. He/she must have prior experience working directly with and exposure to the Board of Directors of at least one software company.
