Display Advertising Sales Executive

Nature Publishing Group (NPG), is the top scientific publisher in the world and we are looking for a dynamic sales professional with drive and ambition.

The successful candidate will sell advertising and marketing solutions for the journal Nature and our Research and Reviews journals covering the west coast. NPG is the scientific publishing arm of Macmillan Publishers Ltd.

The primary responsibilities for the Account Executive will be to manage and develop new business from regional clients and agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have prior sales or advertising experience
  • Proven track record of driving sales
  • Ability to develop new business cold calling and prospecting experience
  • Knowledge and interest in life sciences and the biotechnology field a plus but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long term key account relationship
  • Successful client management experience
  • Enthusiastic attitude of a team player dedicated to overall company goals
  • Ability to attend local events and national conferences
  • Knowledge of MS Office and contact database program such as Salesforce.com preferred.


REQUIREMENTS:

    • 3+ year of outside sales or advertising experience
    • Bachelor degree (BA/BS), business or science degree preferre
    • Excellent verbal and written skills are essential
