Internet Sales Consultant
I. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for sales of TWCi vacation rentals product. The ideal candidate will Identify prospects and/or contact prospects as defined, gain understanding of prospects' marketing efforts, make product recommendation, review features/benefits, overcome objections and close sale. Keep accurate prospect/customer records, process agreements, and follow-up. Communicate sales efforts to others on team. Meet or achieve defined calls per day or per week along with defined talk time per day or per week. Meet or exceed defined revenue goals and any other sales criteria. Provide input into sales process and strategies. Develop and maintain industry knowledge. II. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - Thorough understanding of sales and sales processes. - Previous experience with inside phone sales/telesales preferred. - Strong track record of prospecting, closing, building and maintaining client base. - At least one year of sales experience. - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. III. QUALIFICATIONS A. KNOWLEDGE - Enjoys sales and is challenged by it; goal-oriented and driven to succeed. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong problem solving skills. - Solid computer and Internet knowledge. - An ability to function with limited supervision at a demanding pace. - Travel-related or real estate background a plus. - Entrepreneurial spirit - inclination toward taking intelligent risks. - Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing environment. - Calm under pressure. - Resourceful. - High energy level. Hours worked by The Weather Channel associates will vary according to job responsibility and scheduling demands of each department.
