Vice President of Supply Chain Management: The Albrecht Group

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE

Our client is a manufacturer of specialty chemicals located in the Memphis, Tennessee vicinity. They are currently looking for a Vice President, of Supply Chain Management. The VP of Supply Chain Management will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and is responsible for directing the “future state” of the supply chain strategy for the Company. This VP will be responsible for the supply chain operations including procurement (procurement planning, purchasing of direct and indirect spend, integration of sales and operations planning, and strategic sourcing) supply/demand planning, logistics, warehousing, distribution and inventory integration and supplier management. This individual will be accountable for the Company’s spend. The mission is to develop best-in-class supply chain strategies and practices to effectively reap maximum value across the Company with accountability for financial, service, and quality metrics in the supply chain. As a key member of the company’s leadership team, the goal of the VP of Supply Chain Management will be to lower and optimize the Company’s cost structures while increasing service levels to: enhance operating income margins, enable top and bottom line growth and increase shareholder value.

REQUIREMENTS:·

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Management or a related field. MBA strongly preferred.·
• Experience in purchasing chemicals, solvents, resins, packaging, MRO items, logistics and services. ·
• 15+ years of increasingly progressive supply chain experience with organizations known for the strength of their operational and customer service excellence is required. ·
• Minimum of five (5) yrs in a procurement management role involving strategic sourcing, change management, continuous improvement programs, supplier improvement programs, integrated supply chain management, cost reduction, and organizational reengineering.·
• Strong MRP systems knowledge required.
• ERP implementation experience preferred.·
• APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society) CIRM (Certified in Integrated Resource Management) is desired.· I
• SM (Institute for Supply Management) CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) is required. ·
• Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%) to the company facilities, suppliers and other locations .
