MedAssets Analytical Systems provides supply chain optimization technology and services that help hospitals become more profitable by reducing supply costs or increasing revenue. Job Purpose: The Data Analyst is responsible for the detailed development, analysis, organization, and reporting of hospital product data utilizing a proprietary software platform in support of the company’s products, programs and services. Role Qualifications: - Must have the ability to work in an environment that requires quick turnaround, poise, and skill with frequent interaction with senior management and external business partners requiring diplomacy, problem solving skills, resourcefulness, and professionalism.
- This position requires confidentiality, initiative, and sound decision making.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: - Interprets analytical information based on client data and MedAssets master database to correctly register, synchronize, and if necessary, code supply item data.
- Must have the ability to understand contract language (tier levels, distribution mark ups, familiar with authorized distribution channels)
- Provides detailed analysis of all variables needed for reports and other deliverables.
- Researches supply items as necessary for accurate reporting and analysis.
- Adapts and demonstrates progress in learning procedures, processes, tools, and client expectations.
- Works with Senior Data Analysts and Director of Data Management to answer questions regarding data and/or assigned task.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Complies with company attendance policy.
- Manages multiple projects with a high degree of complexity.
Internal Responsibilities: - Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.
- Responsible for reporting violations of the company's policies and procedures, Standards of Business Conduct, governance program, laws and regulations through the company's Help Line or other mechanism that may be available at the time of the violation. Assists with internal control failure remediation efforts.
- Becomes knowledgeable of internal control responsibilities through training and instruction. Responsible and accountable for internal control performance within their area of responsibility. Participates in the internal controls self-assessment process.
- Ensures concerns with internal control design or performance and process changes that impact internal control execution are communicated to management.
Minimum Knowledge, Competencies & Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent healthcare related experience.
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem solving abilities and is very detail oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects within a team environment
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to complete tasks and deliverables under tight deadlines while maintaining flexibility
- Adjusts to changing priorities
- Advanced ability in organization, time management and planning skills
