Job Requirement

Client, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join their team located in Seattle , WA . Successful data architect with comprehensive, technical, leadership, and practical experience in the application and data architecture domain. This Architect reports directly to the Domain Architect and will own all aspects of data architecture to support business needs for the business unit. A major focus area for Sales & Marketing Portfolio is business and technology centric to Product, Customer, Process, and Information data. The responsibility will include design, development, and support of our structured (database related) and unstructured data (all kinds of digital assets, Campaign brochures, Forms, Paper documents, etc.,), including customer hub, privacy hub (copyright, trademark, and security), product hub, and process hub. This individual will be responsible for building a world-class capability in all of these areas.

Responsibilities for this position include:

· Apply data architecture concepts and techniques to facilitate major technical decisions expressed in technical vision, strategy, and data architecture.

· Define persistent data storage mechanisms and integration solutions.

· Define and lead analysis to align technical scope to project scope.

· Determine architecturally significant requirements along with risks and mitigation strategy.

· Define technical dependencies and dependency management strategy, and align solutions with enterprise architecture strategy.

· Define architecture principles, guidelines, patterns, and standards with respect to data architecture.

· Monitor the implementation of data architecture throughout the software development lifecycle and provide technical mentoring, guidance and clarification to other architects and technical implementation resources.

· Must possess ability to collaborate with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

· Experience developing processes for capturing and maintaining metadata including inputs, activities and outputs.

· Knowledge and hands on experience in design and implementation using Dimensional Modeling, fact dimension tables, Star Schemas, etc.,

· Knowledge and experience in SQL and using database modeling tools and CASE tools, particularly in a Teradata and Oracle Data Warehousing Environment.

· Knowledge of business process modeling standards and practices (BPMN, UML, RUP, etc.) preferred.

· Bachelor's Degree or higher, plus years relevant experience in software engineering, data architecture includes MDM, EDW, ETL & BI.

· Experience should include hands on experience in data modeling & architecture.

· Extensive knowledge and technical foundation in design and deployment of data architecture that focuses on large data management systems and data warehouses.

· Experience developing logical and physical database models, both transactional and data warehouses.

· Experience working with business stakeholders to define data requirements and facilitate meetings and generative design sessions for timely and effective decision making and effective problem solving.

· Demonstrated ability to effectively document and present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the organization

· Ideally, candidate will have knowledge and experience designing data warehouse/marts

· Hands on experience in creation of the Information Architecture (taxonomy)

· Strong attention to details, analytical skills, interpersonal skills and excellent communication are essential

· Self-starter with proven ability to work with moderate to minimal supervision in a team-based environment

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express complex technical concepts effectively

Activities / Deliverables:

· Define Data governance strategy to overall manage the availability, usability, integrity, and security of the data

· Establish Data governance and Change Management model

· Define process & procedures required to create a consistent, enterprise view of a data

· Define policies around Metadata Management to know the impact of altering data

· Create Master Data Management (MDM) principles, and required standards on the master and reference data

· Define Data Architecture policies of how data is processed, stored and utilized

· Refine Data Security policies and enforce strong procedures ensuring that data access is suitably controlled and data is kept safe from corruption

· Create a single view of data, despite being stored in disparate systems through data standardization procedures such as (data updates, de-duplicating data, etc.,)

· Maintain Data quality Management procedures to ensure reliability, effectiveness and usability of data

· Establishes processes that ensure quality data on a regular basis.

· Define the requirements for managing structured & unstructured data and the types of deliverables needed to create/manage metadata & taxonomy

· Define Common categorization schemes for navigation, search and tagging

· Define & scope the requirement for metadata repository needs

· Create Data consolidation approach by reducing number of data management systems and querying processes

· Create Information Roadmap to create a single source of data
