This job will perform an active role in the design and integration of our next gen MSER/BRAS product line.

Job Overview:

- Software design in the area of LKM and UIO drivers for thirdparty and E/// proprietary devices;

- Provide system and application user libraries enabling platform specific features to user applications;

- Lead cross functional platform and system SW integration on to the hardware;

- Work closely with SQA in problem investigation;

- System scalability and platform performance tuning;

- Build new development and debug tools to enhance productivity;

- Analyze feature requirements and specifications, document and implement high level and detailed designs

- Evaluate and investigate system prototypes leading to new product designs.

Candidate Profile:

Must have:
- Strong knowledge of Linux kernel, networking, system libraries, drivers, and embedded software.
- Hands on knowledge and experience with HW device bring-up
- Working knowledge of Intel x86, MIPS, or PPC processor architecture.
- Experience and familiarity of telecom and router equipment features is a must.
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, systems analyst, or related occupation.
- Master's or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.

Highly desirable:
- Experience as a technical lead in a team environment, and working with remote sites .
- Experience in building carrier-class systems with resiliency and redundancy.
