UnitedHealth Group has submitted a proposal in response to the TriCare Managed Care Support Contract Solicitation (also known as the "T-3 Solicitation"). TriCare is the health care program serving active duty service members, National Guard and Reserve members, retirees, their families, survivors and certain former spouses.
As a potential government contractor, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense form SF85P.

Position Description:
Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications. Primary contributor in designing,
coding, testing, debugging, documenting and supporting all types of applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the work and tasks required for Cosmos OM support in one or more functional areas.
- Provide direction to 4 to 12 staff members.
- This requires coordination with three key groups:
- Cosmos OM resources on shore and off - Ensure assignments are worked based on business priorities; ensure all OM processes and procedures are followed
- Cosmos Business Users - Ensure business users understand the status of their work requests; provide appropriate status reports and updates; ensure team members work with business partners
- Cosmos development, ETS partners who support production and development and third parties, such as vendors who can provide support
Qualifications Qualifications:
Requirements:
- 10+ yrs experience in application development, support and/or planning
- 5+ years of experience working with IBM mainframe applications
- 5+ yrs experience managing and/or leading development projects or production support teams
- 5+ yrs COBOL experience
Assets:
- Experience working in the health care insurance industry
- Experience working with resources is a distributed environment, including off shore resources
- Experience working DB2, CICS and MVS
