Healthcare Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
The position is a key role in managing the unbilled services and will be reporting to the Director of Reimbursement, Operations. This individual will lead a team of 50+ full and part time staff members with 4 direct reports. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate billing of laboratory services which includes; payer selection, collecting missing information and upfront electronic claim edits.

As a Reimbursement Manager you will supervise, hire, train and develop staff members. Develop short and long term strategies for the Billing team, including, but not limited to: staff development, identify and manage resources required to meet and achieve Billing team goals and objectives, internal and external client education, and process improvement. Develop and implement reimbursement programs and processes to facilitate appropriate payment and subsequent cash flow in a timely manner. Ensure that staff knowledge and skills remain current with legal, procedural, and regulatory changes. Work with the management team to ensure overall reimbursement department is effectively meeting its goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelors degree and 5- 15 years experience supervising at least 15 direct reports in a corporate healthcare setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
Green/Black belt training and/or certification.
