Senior Battery Engineer Our company is currently looking for our next Senior Batter Engineer who has the ability to develop and design electrodes, lithium-ion cells (rechargeable), & components and processes (which will include prototypes, concepts & working production unites), while executing the following duties: -Examine proposed product specifications & research data -Develop power supplies & packaging, create different kinds of cell (high power/high energy), develop the best design for production & repeatability scale up. -Be responsible for advanced battery electrochemical design (ex: analysis, material selection, & qualification; -Validation, development and design of cells -Modeling of battery electrochemical performance (degradation & life) modeling (life and degradation). -Validation & testing of batteries and cell modules Competency: -Good problem solver and ability to analyze well -Solid written and oral communication skills -Ability to work well with a team and have a good vision in a leadership position -Possess good judgment, adaptability, ethics, & professionalism -Able to manage projects and work with changing management -Conscious with costs -Solid, design, technical & interpersonal skills Language Skills: -Able to examine, read, and understand several different technical procedures, business periodicals, government regulations, and professional journals. -Able to write business correspondence, procedure manuals, and reports -Capable of efficiently presenting information & responding to potential questions from managerial groups, customer, clients, & possibly the general public Mathematical Skills: -Statistical inference & probability -Plane and Solid geometry and trigonometry fundamentals -Able to apply percentages, fraction, proportions, and ratios to real-life situations Qualifications: -Execute all tasks and duties successfully -All requirements that are named below indicate the skills, knowledge and abilities that one must have to successful perform the duties that this job entails. -Accommodations at a reasonable level may be made to allow candidates with disabilities to execute certain functions Education and/or Experience: -M.S. in Chemistry, along with at least five to seven years of experience with battery technologies (Li-ion experience is preferable) -Experience with the evaluation of material, along with conducting and designing tests is preferable Reasoning Ability: -Solid problem solving skills and ability to handle several different variables in situation where a limited standardization exists -Able to understand a wide variety of instruction given in the following forms: oral, schedule, written, and diagram.
