Reports to the Director of Information Technology and is accountable for the management, optimization and overall Network Services operations including, Help Desk, Hardware Break/Fix, Technology Integration and Voice/Data Network Administration & Engineering. The Network Services Manager will drive network infrastructure projects/teams aligned with achieving key business objectives for the BD Diagnostics Systems business units as well as Global IT objectives for BD Corporate. The position will work closely with key business partners, internal customers, and Global IT on technology, industry trends, networking technology roadmaps, and future capabilities that ensure the infrastructure is developed according to defined strategy that meets the business needs. Duties and Responsibilities: - Strong knowledge of enterprise network operations, Internet infrastructure, network monitoring and security services.
- Experience with Cisco and Microsoft networking technologies.
- Proven skills in leading and managing IT infrastructure and networking projects to successful completion within various scope, schedule and funding constraints.
- Experience in managing relationships with Infrastructure technology vendors, i.e. Cisco, Microsoft.
- Proven leadership skills in managing a network services team to include multiple levels of network support functions. Provide mentoring to direct reports at the manager level.
- Must be able to work in a time-critical environment; strong organizational and time management skills.
- Solid, demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills; Considers potential benefits, costs and business impact of alternative solutions.
- Must demonstrate the skills to effectively communicate (written and oral) with all levels of management, customers, and employees.
- Experience in technical and business change management.
- Experience in supporting IT audit efforts both internal and external.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional organization and with multiple cross-functional teams
- Experience in managing a network infrastructure project portfolio within a formal corporate portfolio management process.
- Proven experience in managing and measuring the performance of support functions (Help Desk, Problem Management, Performance and Availability, Data Center Management) is essential.
- Experience managing budgets (capital and expense) and the acquisition of equipment, maintenance and services, with a direct focus on cost management.
Education / Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field and/or equivalent work experience. Minimum 10+ years IT leadership experience, with 5+ years managing cross-functional IT groups.  PLEASE APPLY USING THIS BUTTON ONLY
