Summary:

Immersion, the leader in medical education and surgical simulation, is seeking a Medical industry professional that is bright, creative, and enthusiastic, to contribute to the development and qualification of sophisticated Medical and Surgical Simulators using our patented Haptic solutions. Immersion supports several areas of medical simulation training with experience in endovascular, laparoscopy, endoscopy, arthroscopy, intravenous access, and custom-designed simulation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned as required):

  • Evaluate sales organization and strategies; contribute sales information, analysis and recommendations to executive team; establish sales objectives in line with organizational and financial objectives.
  • Develop sales operations strategies, by evaluating trends; establishing critical measurements; determining production, productivity, quality and customer-service/satisfaction goals; design sales systems and compensation plan; resolve problems; and implement change.
  • Develop sales financial strategies by adding discipline and predictability to forecasting and anticipating sales requirements, trends and variances; aligning customer monetary resources; develop action plans; measure and analyze results; initiate and implement corrective actions, minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Achieve annual profit contribution by achieving sales objectives, preparing sales forecasts and establishing sales objectives; maintaine and manage our direct and distributor international sales network; maintaine rapport with key customers and initiate relationships with prospective customers; negotiate and close orders; develope promotional strategies and programs.
  • This role can be based in either Asia, Europe or the US.

Highly Desirable

Additional experience with in one or more of the following areas would be highly desirable.

- Academic medical centers, large hospitals, SW as a service ie; surgery planning tools, medical record tools or radiological information systems are plus.

- A strong leader with the ability to coach, mentor, develop and hire talent, set strategy and drive revenue focused sales team.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job:

  • Sustained record of establishing and achieving quarterly revenue forecasts in excess of $8MM for 8+ consecutive quarters
  • 5 to 8 years proven high performance sales leadership experience in a public company, preferably Capital Equipment Medical Device Sales
  • International sales management experience, and working for a publicly traded US company
  • Expatriate living experience
  • Managing sales teams of 8 or more, in geographies around the world
  • Proven ability to meet aggressive sales quotas and exceed them
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
