COPYWRITER

Create and translate innovative concepts into finished copy for print, television, radio, and collateral material. Produce bold, strategic, persuasive messages in all media for Agency clients.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Background Requirements:

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish
• Bachelors in Journalism, Communication Arts, Advertising, or a related field
• 3 (+) plus years of related work experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Writing experience in several forms of media and several styles of writing is required
• Proficient with e-mail programs
• Basic proficiency with Quark Xpress, Illustrator, Photoshop
• Advanced knowledge of Word
• Familiar with digital camera
• Proficient with Internet use
• Knowledge and familiarity of the US Hispanic and Latin America markets

JOB DUTIES

- Develop an ad idea (print layouts, logos, storyboards, basic design, etc) that correlates/meets the requirement of a specific creative brief.

- Participate and contribute to creative briefings, creative concept presentations to the Associate Creative Director, to Account Service, to clients

- Develop evaluation skills to determine the effectiveness, engagingness, attributes, etc., of an ad depending on the results of quantitative and/or qualitative testing

- Write advertising copy from conception to completion for print, broadcast and other media to promote the sale of goods and services.

- Proof and edit own and others work for clear, concise and convincing writing; and for grammatical and material accuracy

- Work collaboratively and synergistically with the Art Director for concept, storyboard, or print development.

- Assist in ensuring ad integrity during the ad idea concept development, pre, post and actual production of the ad.

- Review and attend screenings presented by:

- Directors - Photographers - Producers (TV/Music)

- Review TV and/or print pre-bid book presentations

- Work with post-production houses (editors)

- Attend focus groups (quantitative/qualitative research)

- Maintain library of reference material relating to assigned clients

- Ensure textual and factual data presented in advertising is accurate, cleared through legal

- Maintain awareness of new technologies and advances that may impact print and broadcast production
