Positions in this function are responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing and adjusting claims. Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to investigators for further review. Conducts data entry and re-work; analyzes and identifies trends and provides reports as necessary.

- 6 months of experience using a numeric keyboard that is located on the right hand side of the keyboard is required
- Ability to type 55 WPM is required
- 6 months of experience utilizing the computer is required
- Basic math skills are required
- Familiarity with medical, dental, and/or hospital bills is preferred
- Applies knowledge/skills to basic, repeated activities
- Demonstrates minimum depth of knowledge and skills in own function
- Responds to standard requests
- Requires assistance in responding to non-standard requests
- Solves routine problems by following established procedures
- Others prioritize and set deadlines for employee
- Works with others as part of a team
- High school education or equivalent experience
