The Planner would be the focal point with accountability for regional supply of an iMac product line. Duties: • Analyze forecasted demand, channel and direct sell through and inventory to develop weekly supply plans that meet Apple's financial plan • Analyze product order bookings, backlog and billings on a daily basis • Works daily with worldwide planning teams to justify supply requests and ensure the Americas region receives the necessary supply allocation • Provide direction to manufacturing plants to ensure timely product availability • Create and manage PO's to the supplier, based upon actual demand. Work with the supplier on PO and delivery reconciliation. • Supply management of new product launches and end-of-life products • Manages product line availability by week to support Apple's aggressive order cycle time goals • Coordinate effective inventory management, ensuring reduced cost and reduced risk of obsolescence for physical inventory, and lowers inventory handling cost. Implement strategies to achieve inventory objectives and build plans rationalizing flexibility in capacity, materials, capital and people. • Ship estimate attainment at quarters end to ensure all channels meet the ship estimate while highlighting risk if necessary • Candidate must be analytical with accuracy and attention to detail on numbers a must • Excellent communication skills • Strong leadership skills, flexibility and a teamwork mentality • Knowledge of SAP and MRP systems preferred • Excel and reporting experience a must • Requires BA/BS degree plus 2-5yrs experience in planning or supply chain management • Prior experience in product planning, production control, inventory management, or - production/manufacturing operations preferred Apply Only at : Apple Inc.      |
