The Fresh Market currently has an opening for an Assistant Floral Coordinator in our Corporate Offices in Greensboro, North Carolina. As the Assistant Floral Coordinator with The Fresh Market you will be expected to work closely with all levels of employees to ensure the success of the department and the company and be responsible for preparing and implementing the weekly Floral Order Boards. The Assistant Floral Coordinator will be expected to review and resolve issues with stores orders as well as train and mentor the Floral Specialists. The position will be responsible for writing ad distributions, new store orders and overseeing transportation of those orders through to the stores and will be expected to distribute unallocated inventory at the warehouse. The position will be responsible for assisting in floral category management practices regarding product mix as well as assisting in the development and implementation of a yearly calendar of sale events and holiday planning. The position will be expected to assist in the development of product mix to attain desired financial results. The Assistant Floral Coordinator will support stores and warehouse in the resolution of product issues and maintain and update cost and retails. The position will be expected to communicate effectively with stores and vendors and maintain positive and productive relationships. The Assistant Floral Coordinator will ensure the daily responsibilities as directed by the Vice President of Marketing. The Assistant Floral Coordinator will be expected to maintain the highest level of retail merchandising and product standards as well as the product cost for floral and assist in updating and publishing a Floral Training Manual. The Fresh Market will require four years retail/wholesale floral experience. Demonstrated knowledge in the mass market plant and flower business is required. General understanding of numerical analysis with high productivity, organization skills, and follow through skills is required. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and work independently. Demonstrated work experience in floral procurement and distribution is required. Demonstrated knowledge in managing margin and resolving margin issues as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills is required. The ability to build and maintain professional working relationships within and outside The Fresh Market is required. Demonstrated expert level knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented, highly motivated with a sense of urgency, and possess a respect for customer service.
