We are seeking a dynamic sales representative for the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to develop relationships and expand our visibility and sales in the territory. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Determines local business development needs; establishes and conducts sales and marketing programs to increase local market share. 2. Develops new customers for company services by contacting real estate agents, builders, attorneys, lending institutions, developers, investors, corporations, etc. to determine their needs, offering services the company can provide, and writing proposals to provide services which meet those needs. Arranges and participates in training programs for customers and other interested groups; attends/participates in association meetings and other appropriate social functions. 3. Maintains existing business by providing information concerning company services and supportive activities; by providing explanatory brochures and suitable promotional items; and by taking orders for home warranties. 4. Assists company agents; advises customers and prospects on company policies and procedures. 5. Develops statistical reports on market share. 6. Keeps records of activities and expenses and makes periodic reports.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
1. Knowledge of the principles and purpose of home warranty insurance, of services provided by a home warranty company, of principles of real estate sales, and of legal terminology related to the home industry. 2. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a sales program capable of meeting revenue objectives set by management. 3. Considerable ability to meet and deal effectively with the public. 4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in person and by telephone, with all levels of the organization and with external customers. Demonstrated ability to deliver effective, persuasive presentations to diverse internal and external audiences. Ability to positively represent the company. 5. Analytical ability to plan and maintain an efficient schedule of customer contact and sales promotion. 6. Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers, peripherals, common office software suites, and software specific to department needs. 7. Demonstrated negotiating and decision-making skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSING Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a related field, with two or more years of successful sales experience, preferably in a real estate or financial services organization, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid motor vehicle license and insurance is required.
