Summary: (Summarize primary purpose of job function) | Responsible for the administrative operations for the ortho/neuro and spine programs and services. Responsible for developing a complete continuum of healthcare services including outcome measurements for cost, service, and quality indicators. Responsible for planning, organizing, implementing and directing resources in assigned operational areas. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards. Essential Responsibilities: | 1. | Responsible for market analysis and research efforts to identify population needs along the service line continuum and across the system. Works collaboratively with the Marketing and Business Development departments to define strategies regarding marketing, promotion and services to support service line growth initiatives. | 2. | Develops, monitors, and manages a full range of financial, service and quality indicators in assigned service line. | 3. | Works closely with medical staff to obtain input and support of service line initiatives and improvements. | 4. | Develops, recommends and manages approved capital and operational budgets in support of strategic plans. | 5. | Responsible for assuring appropriate management practices, maintenance of appropriate staffing levels, competency assessment, staff orientation, ongoing education and development in all areas of responsibility. | 6 | Leads the Joint Replacement Center team monthly team meetings. Ensures the timeline and key deliverables of the implementation plan are achieved, in coordination with Director | 7. | Responsible for coordination of accreditation and licensure activities, including achieving specific accreditations such as Joint Commission Disease Specific accreditation, as well as oversight of quality assurance/improvement for the product lines. Works with the quality department to maintain performance reports of clinical outcomes and coordinates with physicians and clinical team to establish benchmarks of performance. Reports performance to key stakeholders on a routine basis. | 8. | Performs all other duties as assigned. |
