C.N.A. - Part-time (NIGHTS)

The Certified Nursing Assistant assist in the hands on nursing care and comfort of residents under the supervision of the Licensed Nurses. lie/she directly reports to the nurse in charge of the unit.

• Checks incontinent residents, turn and position, and maintain clean and dry.
• Provides direct care assistance such as: personal hygiene: bath or shower on assigned day and time.
• Maintains any confidential knowledge of residents condition or personal problems.
• Treats visitors courteously. Assists in the treatments as instructed by the charge nurse.
• Measures intake and output accurately. Serves nourishment timely.
• Provides rehabilitation nursing therapy to residents as ordered on the NAAR.

Qualified candidate must demonstrate ability to perform related duties and illustrate patience and concern for the residents well-being. Must demonstrate the ability to get along with co-workers, residents, their families, visitors, volunteers, and others.

Ideal candidate will have at least two (2) years experience as Certified Nursing Assistant in a long-term care facility preferable. Hospital or health care experience will be considered. Must have a High School or vocational graduate preferred; Must be certified by New York State.
