Central Laboratory Facilities Specialist: Aspen Dental

Position Summary:

Our newly created Central Laboratory Facilities Specialist will work hands-on in our Practice Support Center ’s Denture Lab. Located in East Syracuse , NY , our central denture lab produces high quality dentures for our network of 200+ dental offices. In order to keep our central lab running smoothly, this position will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on our denture producing equipment. Currently, this position will be scheduled as 3pm to 12pm, Monday through Friday with the possibility of weekends as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on central lab equipment.
• Assist in the development of maintenance schedules.
• Create and maintain service logs.
• Additional maintenance will be required for non-machinery such as benches, desks, lighting units, ventilation units and possibly moving or modifying phone/data lines.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Candidates with a natural ability to trouble shoot and have a high mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Experience with the following -

o Pneumatic Machines, Injectors, Compressors, Suction / Mixing / Curing units, Grinders, Blades, Plaster Traps, Mixing and Boil Outs

• Familiarity with dental industry supply companies such as: DENTSPLY, Wasserman, Baldor, Flexite Corporation and Rapid Injection Corporation is a plus.
